Project Location: Malmesbury, Wiltshire, UK
Target Industry: Food production and processing
IDC Conveyors recently worked with award-winning condiments manufacturer Tracklements, extending and adapting their conveyor setup. Tracklements had new machinery on order to integrate into their production line, which required their existing conveyor system to be adapted.
IDC worked closely with the engineering team at Tracklements and developed a design that would integrate their conveyor system and integrate an important new machine that was on order. To provide the customer with a cost-effective and productive transport conveyor, IDC adapted and extended the existing conveyor system by incorporating new conveyors into the system.
To minimise the downtime, the modifications and installation were undertaken across just one weekend. The new conveyors were manufactured in-house and tested prior to the installation. The existing conveyors were uplifted from Tracklements and brought back to IDC for the adaptation work to be undertaken. They were then assembled with the new conveyors and run and tested before returning to Tracklements the same weekend to install and commission the system.
As part of the commissioning process, IDC returned on Monday morning to oversee the conveyor system running under load with chutneys and condiments moving effortlessly down the system, transporting jars from the food processing area to the packaging facilities.
